The Play 70C sports a modern, minimalist design with a glossy plastic back and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It weighs 195 grams and measures 167.3 x 76.6 x 8.2 mm, making it comfortable to hold for long hours. The phone comes in three colors: Black, Blue, and Silver. The build feels sturdy, though the glossy finish attracts fingerprints easily. The volume and power buttons are tactile, and the 3.5mm headphone jack is a welcome addition for users who still rely on wired audio.

Display

The Play 70C features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Gaming performance is smooth in titles like PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile at medium settings. However, heavy apps like Adobe Lightroom may lag slightly when multiple apps are running in the background.

Camera

The Play 70C features a dual-camera setup on the back: a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is an 8MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. In daylight, the main camera captures decent photos with good detail and dynamic range. Low-light performance is average, with noticeable noise in darker scenes. Battery

The Play 70C is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery, one of the largest in its price range. In our real-world usage, the phone easily lasts a full day of moderate to heavy use, including social media, video streaming, and light gaming. With the 90Hz display enabled, the battery life drops slightly but still manages to last around 12-14 hours. The phone supports 22.5W charging, which is fast enough to get you through a few hours of use in under an hour. A full charge takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

The Honor Play 70C is a compelling budget 5G smartphone that offers a great balance of performance, display quality, and battery life.
