The Honor X7e Plus is Pakistan’s newest budget 5G phone, launched on 12 June 2025 for Rs. 39,999 (approximately US$145). It targets young professionals and students who want 5G speeds without breaking the bank. The phone packs a 6.78-inch display, a 6000mAh battery, and a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset—all features you’d expect in a phone twice the price.

Design & Build

The X7e Plus feels sturdy in hand, with a plastic back and a glossy finish that catches fingerprints easily. It weighs 205 grams and measures 168.2 x 77.1 x 8.9 mm, making it slightly heavier than average for its class. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor is responsive, and the volume and power buttons have a satisfying click. Honor offers it in three colors: Midnight Black, Ocean Blue, and Mint Green.

Display

The 6.78-inch IPS LCD display has a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution (720 x 1612 pixels). Colors are decent for the price, though blacks aren’t deep enough for HDR content. Outdoor visibility is good under direct sunlight, and the 500 nits peak brightness ensures readability. The 180Hz touch sampling rate makes scrolling and gaming smooth, though casual users may not notice the difference from a 60Hz panel.

Performance

Powering the X7e Plus is the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM (expandable up to 12GB via RAM expansion) and 256GB of storage. In real-world use, the phone handles daily tasks like WhatsApp, YouTube, and light gaming without lag. Benchmark scores show an AnTuTu score of around 420,000, which is respectable for a Rs. 40,000 phone. The Mali-G57 MC2 GPU manages games like PUBG Mobile at medium settings and 60fps, but frame drops occur during intense scenes.

Camera

The triple-camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor (f/1.8), a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The main camera takes decent daylight photos with good detail, though colors can look oversaturated. Low-light shots are noisy, and HDR struggles in high-contrast scenes. The 8MP front camera captures clear selfies in good lighting, but details fade in dim conditions. Video recording is limited to 1080p at 30fps, with no stabilization.

Battery

The 6000mAh battery is the standout feature. In our test, it lasted 2 days and 5 hours with mixed usage (social media, calls, and light browsing). Standby time is excellent, and even heavy users should get through a full day without charging. The phone supports 35W fast charging, but the included charger is only 22.5W, so expect around 2 hours to reach 100% from 0%. Wireless charging and reverse charging are not supported.

Verdict

The Honor X7e Plus is a solid budget 5G phone that punches above its weight in battery life and display refresh rate. Its Dimensity 6100+ chipset delivers reliable performance for daily tasks, and the 6000mAh battery ensures you won’t be tethered to a charger. The camera is decent but not outstanding, and the plastic build feels a bit cheap. If you’re looking for a 5G phone under Rs. 40,000 that won’t let you down on battery life, the X7e Plus is a strong contender. Just don’t expect flagship-level photography or build quality.
