Institutions across the country celebrated Independence Day with traditional fervor and patriotism on Friday, with flag hoisting and cake-cutting ceremonies organized at various locations. Government and private institutions across Pakistan organized special events on the occasion of National Day.

A grand function was held at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) premises, where the officials and members of the chamber hoisted the national flag and cut the Independence Day cake. On this occasion, the business community reiterated its commitment to the development and prosperity of the country. Similarly, events were organized by important organizations in other cities of the country.

Flag hoisting ceremonies across the country

A flag hoisting ceremony was held on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan at the head office of Sui Northern Gas in Lahore. The function was attended by officers and employees of the company in large numbers and the flag was hoisted to the tune of the national anthem.

Meanwhile, Sindh Madrasah-ul-Islam University (SMUI) in Karachi celebrated Pakistan's 80th Independence Day with great fervor, where an Independence Walk and function was organized for students and teachers. A grand flag hoisting ceremony was also organized by the municipal committee in Bahawalnagar which was attended by local dignitaries and citizens.

After the completion of these Independence Day celebrations, all institutions have returned to their normal office and business activities. Citizens will be able to witness commercial and social activities organized by local institutions and chambers in the coming months.
