Design & Build

The Lenovo A7 feels sturdy in hand thanks to its plastic frame and glossy back panel. It measures 164.1 x 76.5 x 7.9 mm and weighs 187 grams, making it slightly heavier than the average 6.7-inch phone. The glossy finish shows fingerprints quickly, but the matte sections on the sides help with grip. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge, within easy reach of the thumb. The 3.5mm headphone jack is missing, but a USB-C port and speaker grille are present at the bottom. The phone has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, which is a nice surprise at this price.

Display

The star of the show is the 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels). Brightness peaks at 800 nits, which is bright enough for outdoor use in direct sunlight. In our test, the phone charged from 0% to 50% in 25 minutes and reached 100% in 75 minutes. Standby time is excellent, with the phone lasting 3-4 days on airplane mode.
