Thousands of pilgrims flocked to the provincial capital to attend these important religious gatherings, following which a major clean-up operation was launched by the municipal authorities. Crews worked in round-the-clock shifts around the Durbar and on the procession routes to dispose of the garbage.

Heavy machinery, compactors and manual sweepers were deployed in areas around Circular Road, Quaid-e-Azam Highway and Data Darbar Complex.
