How to apply for a domicile certificate in Pakistan — required documents, where to apply (DC office), the form and fee, and processing time.

A domicile certificate proves your permanent residence in a district and province. It is required for government jobs, educational admissions on a provincial quota, and many official processes. It is issued by the office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of your district; a PRC (Permanent Residence Certificate) is a related document.

You apply once (a person can hold only one domicile). Gather proof of residence and identity, submit the form at the DC office, and collect the certificate after verification.
