💡 How to Pay Your Electricity Bill Online in Pakistan

How to pay your electricity bill online in Pakistan — through your bank app, JazzCash, Easypaisa or 1link, using your reference number, plus how to check the bill.

You no longer need to queue at a bank to pay your electricity bill. Any bank app, JazzCash, Easypaisa or internet banking can pay it in seconds using the reference number printed on your bill. Payment is processed through the 1LINK bill-payment network, so it works whichever distribution company (LESCO, K-Electric, IESCO, MEPCO…) issued the bill.

Have your paper or PDF bill ready to read the 14-digit reference number. To estimate a bill before it arrives, use our Electricity Bill calculator. This guide covers paying through a mobile wallet or bank app.

Step-by-step

  1. Open your bill and find the reference number

On the bill, locate the long "Reference No." (usually 14 digits). You will type this exactly into the app.

  2. Open your bank app or mobile wallet

Launch your bank app, JazzCash or Easypaisa and go to "Bill Payment" or "Pay Bills".

  3. Choose Electricity and your company

Select the Electricity category, then your distribution company (e.g. LESCO, K-Electric, IESCO, MEPCO, GEPCO).

  4. Enter the reference number

Type the reference number from your bill. The app fetches the amount due and the due date.

  5. Check the amount and due date

Confirm the payable amount matches your bill and that you are paying before the due date to avoid the late surcharge.

  6. Confirm and pay

Authorise the payment with your PIN/OTP. The amount is deducted and the bill is marked paid.

  7. Save the receipt

Save or screenshot the confirmation and transaction ID as proof of payment.
